Hunimua Beach, The Hidden Paradise

Partly and simply mechanized gear technology are used daily in  Liang fisheries, starting from purse seiner (goib) lift net (bagan), trolling, until fish trap (bubu). However, the daily catch rate of these sea resources, either using seiner or lift net remains uncertain.

Liang villages are surrounded by Seram and Haruku straits, which are influenced by Banda sea on the south of Ambon island. The sea is rich of marine species, such as coral fishes, sharks and other sea mammals beside several king of turtle and dugong


How to get there

First you can fly to Ambon from Jakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar or Makassar, then when you reach Ambon, you can ride bus. Liang public buses serve Ambon to Liang route several times daily for IDR 8.000,- per person. Chartered cars are also available at the hotel.

The Fee
To enter the location along the coast that is covered with green trees and shady rich, you have to pay entrance fee of Rp. 2,500 per person. Quite cheap right? After entering the entrance and parking of vehicles, you can choose your own place  and enjoy the beautiful beaches and blue sea on a mat that is rented for Rp 5.000 per hour. Or you can sit in some Maluku's traditional gazebo that is located along the coast. If you want to see the sights around, you can do it while looking for various types of shells and pumice stones scattered along the coast that is often visited by foreign tourists.

For those who love sun bathing you can take the sun burn on the beach. Close your eyes for a moment, warm sun rays touch the skin, the scent of white sand and boisterous chirping of birds and waves gutters will give your soul to feel the sensation of the universe. I feel like in heaven, is one the tourist comment when the sun is burning, shut your eyes and enjoy it. But remember not to dress that is too short/sexy because the community around is a bit conservative.
